Shreyas Slater Chityala

Founder & Managing Partner
Vedas Group Asia | Elevate Innovation Partners

Shreyas Slater Chityala is an investor and operator working at the intersection of financial services, technology, and private capital.

He began his career in investment banking with UBS and Nomura in the United States and Australia, before moving into strategy and leadership roles at Westpac. Together, these roles provided a grounding in capital markets, balance sheets, and the operating realities of large financial institutions — spanning product design, technology platforms, distribution, and regulatory constraints.

Alongside institutional experience, Shreyas has taken on direct leadership and operating roles within startups and growth-stage companies. Working closely with founders and management teams, he has helped shape strategy, build operating cadence, refine product positioning, and support commercialization. This experience informs how Vedas and Elevate engage today — with deep operational alignment rather than arm’s-length capital deployment.

He now plays an active leadership role across Vedas Group Asia and Elevate Innovation Partners, where he is responsible for venture investing, capital structuring, and hands-on engagement with portfolio companies. His work focuses on situations where strategy, execution, and governance materially influence outcomes, particularly in technology-enabled businesses operating within regulated or complex environments.

In addition to capital allocation, Shreyas remains closely involved in company building. He serves in leadership and operating partner roles with portfolio companies, including LightRay.ai, where he works directly on strategy, product positioning, partnerships, and commercialization. His involvement extends beyond board oversight to active problem-solving alongside management teams.

Shreyas’ approach reflects a belief that effective investing requires proximity to operations. He prioritizes alignment, capital discipline, and long-term durability, and works with founders to navigate scale, governance, and market structure over extended horizons.

He works alongside his father, Sridhar Chityala, in an intergenerational leadership structure designed to combine institutional judgment with entrepreneurial execution, reinforcing continuity, accountability, and long-horizon capital stewardship.
